Swimming Video Analysis – Swim Training in Triathlon

THIS deep-seated belief that is main reason for the lack of progression in swimmers. The only real way to increase speed is to practice swimming at increased speeds.

Working on stroke technique and biomechanical efficiency is critical to swim improvements. Over time, by working on form and mechanics, a stroke rate can then yield a larger distance per stroke. Then, by working on turnover, mechanics, and reducing the glide phase, you can increase stroke rate – thus finding improvements all around.

What your Victory’s Edge coach will evaluate during each phase of the swim stroke:
Swim Metrics:
  • Stroke Rate(sr): How fast you turn your arms over and have a hand enter the water.
  • Distance Per Stroke (dps): How far you go, or have gone, every time your hand enters the water.

For athletes who would like a better understanding of what constitutes good running mechanics. Suggestions  how to adjust your running form, the myths about what good running is and cover the  following key areas of running mechanics in a very visual and interactive format.
