Getting Enough Fruits and Vegetables?  A Daily Dilemma

Medical science has proven that a diet rich in fruits and vegetables can reduce your risk of degenerative diseases such as heart disease, stroke, and cancer – and help you live a longer and healthier life. That’s why leading health organizations such as the National Cancer Institute and the American Heart Association encourage us to eat at least 7-13 servings of fruits and vegetables every day.  There are thousands of nutrients in fresh fruits and vegetables which the body needs that you never get from taking vitamins and isolated supplements.

From the studies I researched, it is estimated that less than 10% of Americans get the minimum number servings per day due to the hectic pace of our daily lives.
